YouTube is an American video-sharing website headquartered in San Bruno, California. Three former PayPal employees—Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim—created the service in February 2005. Google bought the site in November 2006 for US$1.65 billion; YouTube now operates as one of Google’s subsidiaries.

YouTube allows users to upload, view, rate, share, add to playlists, report, comment on videos, and subscribe to other users. It offers a wide variety of user-generated and corporate media videos. Available content includes video clips, TV show clips, music videos, short and documentary films, audio recordings, movie trailers, live streams, and other content such as video blogging, short original videos, and educational videos. Most content on YouTube is uploaded by individuals, but media corporations including CBS, the BBC, Vevo, and Hulu offer some of their material via YouTube as part of the YouTube partnership program. Unregistered users can only watch videos on the site, while registered users are permitted to upload an unlimited number of videos and add comments to videos. Videos deemed potentially inappropriate are available only to registered users affirming themselves to be at least 18 years old.

YouTube and selected creators earn advertising revenue from Google AdSense, a program which targets ads according to site content and audience. The vast majority of its videos are free to view, but there are exceptions, including subscription-based premium channels, film rentals, as well as YouTube Music and YouTube Premium, subscription services respectively offering premium and ad-free music streaming, and ad-free access to all content, including exclusive content commissioned from notable personalities. As of February 2017, there were more than 400 hours of content uploaded to YouTube each minute, and one billion hours of content being watched on YouTube every day. As of August 2018, the website is ranked as the second-most popular site in the world, according to Alexa Internet. As of May 2019, more than 500 hours of video content are uploaded to YouTube every minute.

YouTube has faced criticism over aspects of its operations, including its handling of copyrighted content contained within uploaded videos, its recommendation algorithms perpetuating videos that promote conspiracy theories and falsehoods, hosting videos ostensibly targeting children but containing violent and/or sexually suggestive content involving popular characters, videos of minors attracting pedophilic activities in their comment sections, and fluctuating policies on the types of content that is eligible to be monetized with advertising.

Hi! I’m Krista Glover, adoring mama to Cille (my mini) and Luc (named after his father and my hubby, Lucas). We live in Florida, and as a warm weather fan, I wouldn’t have it any other way! My husband , so I get to spend lots of quality time with my babies. When I’m not with them, I’m most likely working on my event planning business. Krista Glover Facebook is given above.

As a “type-A” person, event planning was a no brainer for me. I’ve always had an eye for what goes together and how to plan a party. My best friend from college, Amanda, and I decided to start an event planning business together. We know how to knock an event out of the ballpark for any occasion! And the best part, I get to do what I love every day. The above is a link of Krista Glover Facebook Profile.

I met Amanda while at Furman University, which, if you don’t know, is in South Carolina. There I learned I preferred the humidity over the howling winter winds of Maine. After college, I took an internship in London, and when I moved back to the states, high tailed to the south (Jacksonville to be exact).

But I still love reminiscing on my days in Maine. Growing up, I was a huge tomboy and much preferred playing outside in the dirt and mud to getting dressed up for parties if Tomboy Krista could only see me now!

In high school, the tomboy in me flourished playing basketball. But, the girly-girl in me showed her crown a little, too. In fact, that girly girl was crowned Miss Maine Teen USA. Little Tomboy Krista rolled over in her mud puddle when that happened!

I think both sports and pageants taught me a lot about being a team player and the importance of women working together to build, support, and empower each other. Two concepts that have stuck with me throughout my life, and ones I hope to teach my children. My husband may have chosen a sport more befitting a lone wolf, but he still understands the importance of teamwork and loyalty, both of which we hold dear in our marriage.

My favorite quote is, “You pass the same people on the way up as you do on the way down.” We all have ups and downs in our lives; we all have good moments and bad. But what matters is how you treat people when your on your way, especially the ones who are on their way down. Life ebbs and flows, and although I hope you’re one of the lucky few who will, you probably won’t be going up forever… I value anyone who understands this and hope to always be there for my friends and family as they’ve been there for me.

As a mother, I strive to teach my children this, and I hope they have the confidence to always be themselves, no matter what level of “up” or “down” their life is stopped at. My babies are also my biggest inspirations, inspiring, and pushing me to be the best version of myself. Not just for myself, but my kids, husband, and my career.
