Krista Glover Medium Profile
Medium is an online publishing platform developed by Evan Williams and launched in August 2012. It is owned by A Medium Corporation. The platform is an example of social journalism, having a hybrid collection of amateur and professional people and publications, or exclusive blogs or publishers on Medium, and is regularly regarded as a blog host.
Williams, previously co-founder of Blogger and Twitter, initially developed Medium as a way to publish writings and documents longer than Twitter’s 140-character (now 280-character) maximum.
Medium initially used holacracy as its structure of corporate governance. In 2016, they moved away from holacracy because they reported difficulty coordinating large-scale projects, dissatisfaction with the required record-keeping, and poor public perception of holacracy.
User information and features
Medium does not publish official user stats on its website. According to US blogs, the platform had about 60 million monthly visitors in 2016.. In 2015, the total numbers of users was about 25 million.
The platform software provides a full WYSIWYG user interface when editing online, with various options for formatting provided as the user edits over rich text format.
Once an entry is posted, it can be recommended and shared by other people, in a similar manner to Twitter. Posts can be upvoted in a similar manner to Reddit, and content can be assigned a specific theme, in the same way as Tumblr.
In August 2017, Medium replaced their Recommend button with a “clap” feature, which readers can click multiple times to signify how much they enjoyed the article. Medium announced that payment to authors will be weighted based on how many “claps” they receive.
Users can create a new account using Facebook, or Google account. The users may also sign up using an e-mail address, when they are signing up using the mobile app of Medium.com.
Hi! I’m Krista Glover, adoring mama to Cille (my mini) and Luc (named after his father and my hubby, Lucas). We live in Florida, and as a warm weather fan, I wouldn’t have it any other way! My husband , so I get to spend lots of quality time with my babies. When I’m not with them, I’m most likely working on my event planning business. Krista Glover Facebook is given above.
As a “type-A” person, event planning was a no brainer for me. I’ve always had an eye for what goes together and how to plan a party. My best friend from college, Amanda, and I decided to start an event planning business together. We know how to knock an event out of the ballpark for any occasion! And the best part, I get to do what I love every day. The above is a link of Krista Glover Facebook Profile.
I met Amanda while at Furman University, which, if you don’t know, is in South Carolina. There I learned I preferred the humidity over the howling winter winds of Maine. After college, I took an internship in London, and when I moved back to the states, high tailed to the south (Jacksonville to be exact).
But I still love reminiscing on my days in Maine. Growing up, I was a huge tomboy and much preferred playing outside in the dirt and mud to getting dressed up for parties if Tomboy Krista could only see me now!
In high school, the tomboy in me flourished playing basketball. But, the girly-girl in me showed her crown a little, too. In fact, that girly girl was crowned Miss Maine Teen USA. Little Tomboy Krista rolled over in her mud puddle when that happened!
I think both sports and pageants taught me a lot about being a team player and the importance of women working together to build, support, and empower each other. Two concepts that have stuck with me throughout my life, and ones I hope to teach my children. My husband may have chosen a sport more befitting a lone wolf, but he still understands the importance of teamwork and loyalty, both of which we hold dear in our marriage.
My favorite quote is, “You pass the same people on the way up as you do on the way down.” We all have ups and downs in our lives; we all have good moments and bad. But what matters is how you treat people when your on your way, especially the ones who are on their way down. Life ebbs and flows, and although I hope you’re one of the lucky few who will, you probably won’t be going up forever… I value anyone who understands this and hope to always be there for my friends and family as they’ve been there for me.
As a mother, I strive to teach my children this, and I hope they have the confidence to always be themselves, no matter what level of “up” or “down” their life is stopped at. My babies are also my biggest inspirations, inspiring, and pushing me to be the best version of myself. Not just for myself, but my kids, husband, and my career.
